Grana Padano
Grana Padano cheese is one of the most popular Denominazione di Origine Controllata cheeses of Italy. The name comes from grana ('grain'), which refers to the grainy texture of the cheese, and Padano, which refers to the river Po (the region where the cheese is made). Grana Padano is a semi-fat hard cheese made from cow's milk and aged for a minimum of 18 months.
